The event runs for the entirety of that day, in whatever time zone you are in.
You must be a self-identifying writer/illustrator of Southeast Asian descent.
Head to Twitter and/or Bluesky on the timeframe and use the hashtag #SEAsianPit

Please only pitch once per project, we don’t want to clog the timeline
You may RT, and/or QRT, comment on pitches as a show of support
You may NOT like the tweet/post as it is reserved for interested agent
Do not tag the SEAsianPit account, agents or editors in your pitches
Do not create multiple accounts to pitch your manuscripts
Do research the agent(s) before you send your manuscripts
About the Pitches
Images and moodboards are allowed, but the use of AI-generated images is prohibited by the event. We do not support or endorse any manuscripts written by generative AI or any images generated with the use of AI

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can participate?
Writers, authors, agented and unagented, that come from Southeast Asia (SEA). This includes the SEA diaspora and SEA authors currently not living in the region. If you identify as Southeast Asian, you are welcome to participate.SEA countries include: Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Does the status of my WIP matter?
Yes. Unlike the previous years, the 2026 event is NOT a hype event. To participate, unagented Southeast Asian creators must have a polished/query-ready manuscript or portfolio to pitch.
